We have several Paid Training & Development Opportunities and Freelance Commissions for young people to be involved in this year’s festival and gain valuable practical experience.
YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FROM JULY TO MID SEPTEMBER 2026 INCLUDING KEY EVENT DATES.
These funded opportunities are designed to provide practical experience, mentoring and professional development within the creative industries. Successful participants should expect a commitment of approximately 28 hours over the project period and will receive a training payment equivalent to £14 per hour for participating in the programme.
ASPIRING SOUND TECH
Expected commitment: approximately 28 hours over the project period (training payment equivalent to £14 per hour)
Are you interested in learning about sound tech, event setup and all things live performance? We want to find an aspiring sound technician who wants to shadow our pros and learn more about the valuable role of sound tech in festivals and live performance.
ASPIRING EVENT MANAGER
Expected commitment: approximately 28 hours over the project period (training payment equivalent to £14 per hour)
Are you interested in learning about managing events, producing and curating as well as all the admin/technical and legal side? We want to find an aspiring festival producer who wants to learn more and gain key skills to aim to work in the festivals industry.
3 X ASPIRING DIGITAL AMBASSADORS
Expected commitment: approximately 28 hours over the project period (training payment equivalent to £14 per hour)
Are you interested in helping us promote/gather feedback/create socials for the festival? Is your passion in innovative arts marketing and want to learn more whilst being immersed in the fun? We want creatives who think they can bring something fresh and innovative to the 2026 festival socials.
3 X FREELANCE DANCERS
Project fee based on an expected commitment of approximately 25 hours (£15 per hour equivalent)
We have three opportunities for freelance dancers this summer to help support our exciting public event The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.
1 X FREELANCE EVENT COORDINATOR
Project fee based on an expected commitment of approximately 35 hours (£15 per hour equivalent)
We have one opportunity for a young freelance event coordinator to help us coordinate our exciting public event The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.
Please note: The Paid Training & Development Opportunities are funded skills development opportunities designed to provide practical learning and mentoring within the creative industries. The Freelance Commissions are offered on a self-employed basis under a freelance services agreement. Freelancers are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations where applicable.
