Coastal Currents Arts Festival is an annual celebration of arts and culture across East Sussex. Based in Hastings and St Leonards but encompassing Battle, Rye, Robertsbridge, Eastbourne, Fairlight, Bexhill and many other towns and villages in between. Featuring Open Studios throughout the region and a host of events, exhibitions and performances, the festival has an open submissions format and allows submissions from all disciples of creativity including and actively encouraging experimental, R&D work public art and multi-mediums.
You can submit a classic Open Studio format (30/31 August and 6/7 September) which will appear in our Open Studio section when the public go on art trails and meet the artists, buy work and consider commissions.
OR
You can submit any event or exhibition happening during September/October or November 2025 (main festival period is 30 Aug – 30 Sep but the brochure publicised much more than that).
If you are a group of artists/creatives – you may want to share a listing and this is perfectly possible as we encourage collaborative spaces, however you may want to choose a half page or full page listing as the standard listing is limited to one set of social media links only)
The 2025 Festival submissions will open on 1 March
