St Leonards Ceramic Studio will be opening the studio for the sale of ceramics made by the students, members and teachers, celebrating their third anniversary. The studio is well equipped with 10 pottery wheels, hand building equipment and numerous glazes, most of which are made in the studio, and a new dedicated member’s room. Courses, taster sessions and workshops are all taught by local teachers and offer a range of making suited for all levels of experience and age levels. Come meet the makers, look around the studio and have the opportunity to buy local handmade ceramics.
Featuring: Kim Kish – Working primarily with wheel thrown forms with a focus on functional objects inspired by ancient Greek vessels and the simplicity of Japanese design.
Chris Hughes – A Hastings potter, he is excited to share some teapots and tableware, along with vases and other experiments.
