Statis Beatnik has played sets at Coastal Currents launch parties since 2017. He delivered a branding and media workshop in 2019, hosted by Sussex Coast College, curated by Sweet and Dandy.

BEATNIK ARE THE UK’S TOP DJ/PRODUCER DUO: DJ NIKKI & STATIS Beatnik are DJ/Producers and Live act from London. The Brother-Sister duo have DJ’d on every continent in the World, with one exception……Antarctica. With titles including “musical directors for Kelis” and “official tour DJ for Kelis & All Saints” plus Beatnik being able to boast sellout shows at Brixton Academy, DJ Sets at Isle of Wight, Bestival, Streetfest and Lovebox Festivals, the sibling duo have an impressive C.V. of music credentials that span a combined 25 years. The electronic Producer/DJ/Remixer act, comprising of DJ Nikki & Statis have been prolifically writing, producing and remixing and have received a host of radio plays for their remix work for Kelis, Rudimental, Katy B, Ciara and Chromatone amongst many others and have been recording and releasing their own material with acts including L.A. bass supremo Thundercat, vocal sensation Terri Walker and Danish Soul singer Marie Dahlstrom. Beatnik have a talent for making forward thinking music which automatically intrigues the listener by maintaining a balance of production, songwriting, genre spanning elements and vocal collaborations. The duo are well known for killing it on the decks at parties for everyone from P Diddy to shoe supremo Guiseppe Zanotti and have spun at events from The Elle Style Awards to the Cannes Film Festival to music directing huge shows at Olympia for L’Oreal & Redken and making bespoke soundtracks for fashion and film. Beatnik also run their own East London party ‘FashBashSoundClash’ in various locations in Shoreditch since 2009 which fuses an eclectic crowd of music and fashion lovers with lots of fun while Dj Nikki & Statis play all things electronic and bass. Beatnik are also weekly residents at their self titled party at the W Hotel London ‘Beatnik at the W’. The Beatnik DJ sound fuses their production and remixes with their own personal musical loves: expect to hear everything from Drum and Bass to Deep House, Trap to Hip hop and 90’s.
