We welcome the extraordinary work of Dr Rupert Record (DProf) to our Battle office, temporarily transformed into a gallery space for the occasion.
Dr Rupert Record (DProf) is an artist, painter and researcher whose practice explores layered visual storytelling shaped by autobiographical references both in figuration and abstraction.
He has exhibited widely, with notable solo shows including The Doors to the Regent Palace Hotel (2025), Layers of Silence at Espacio Gallery (2024) and Achilles and the Ghost of Patroclus at The Handbag Factory (2023).
His work has featured in group exhibitions at the Orlando Museum of Art (2025), the Embassy of Brazil (2024), and the Venice Architecture Biennale (2022), alongside solo and group shows at Sotheby’s, Royal
Academy, Toni Heath Gallery, George Gallery and Proud Galleries. His paintings are held in public and private collections, including the Cottrell-Lovett Collection, New York and the Orlando Museum of Art. Recent art residencies include the Austevoll Art Symposium in Norway (2022).
He studied at Chelsea College of Art, completed an MA at the Royal Academy Schools, and was recently awarded a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art from the University of East London.
