Claire Whelan is a weaver, designer and artist, with a highly developed
understanding of materials, dyeing and hand weaving techniques.
Colour is the most important aspect of the design process and she is

The Mudworks is a ceramic studio in the heart of St Leonards.
In the 18 months since it was established in the Mews Quarter,
Chantelle Duncan & Isabella Campi have created a small but vibrant
pottery community. They will be exhibiting their own contemporary
pieces alongside those of the Mudworks’ dozen or so artist members.
A hugely diverse range of pottery styles will be on display alongside
functional handmade homeware.

Alex Leadbeater has taken part in Open Studios at The Muse for many
years but will still be tidying up. Catch her as she catches the energy
of the waves, sometimes raw and turbulent or playful and tranquil as a
day on the beach. Cards, prints and paintings and ongoing classes.

Chris Wright is a multi-disciplinary artist, taking influences from ice age fertility figurines, tribal masks, zen practices, and just hanging about on the streets. Sometimes absurdly grotesque in
bright abstractions, sometimes minimally gestural, but always anthropological in nature with an enduring curiosity.
