This weekend is the Opening of Coastal Currents 2018 and it’s going to be one to remember. If you are planning
to come to Hastings on 1st or 2nd September, we recommend the following to enhance your festival experience:
Arrive on the evening of the 31st August for the Procession to the Opening Party from the Pier at 7pm or Azur at 8pm
Spot Morag Myerscough’s first-ever mobile installation: a bright, bold, touring bandstand programmed in conjunction with communities across Sussex at the Stade Open Space between the 1st-9th September.
While you are in the Old Town, don’t miss the chance to meet artist Chris Dobrowolski on the 1st September at the Blue Reef Aquarium from 5:30pm for the launch event of his Washed Up Car-Go
art installation.
ZEROH launch their Augmented Reality App for free on Android and iOS from 1 September.
Emily Peasgood has created an especially commissioned sound installation for the East and West Hill funicular lifts. Listen to her sound work that explores our subconscious experiences and perceptions.
Visit the first ever Coastal Currents Art Fair running between 2nd-13th September at the Stade Hall.
