Looking back at Coastal Currents 2010

Coastal Currents 2010 created a trail of interventions, exhibitions and events that linked the communities of Hastings and Rother. Tapping into the unexplored histories of Hastings, the festival will encourage residents to rediscover their area and visitors to explore new locations.

Redundant outdoor spaces, parks, gardens, the beach, heritage sites, empty shops and non-art venues were transformed by local, regional and international artists through the exciting visual arts programme Place.

The festival provided an opportunity for artists, residents and visitors to explore the forgotten charms of the area and celebrate the towns thriving creativity.
