Taking Part

Coastal Currents is part curated programme funded by the Arts Council England, Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex Arts Partnership and part submitted programme by those in the 1066 region.

The 2019 Festival will take place during September  with the Open Studios on the 31 August/1 September and 7/8 September.

You can take part by:

Submitting an Open Studio

(must take place on the 31 August/1 September and 7/8 September) in a location with public liability insurance and ideally have a “meet the artist” element.

You can submit to take part in Open Studios when submissions open in January 2019.

Submitting and Event or Exhibition

(these can take place at any time in September 2019) again in a location with public liability insurance but can be as original, unique or quirky as you like. You can submit to take part as an event when submissions open in January 2019.

or

You can also place an Advertisement in the festival brochure for a very reasonable cost which allows artists with bigger projects or who want to make more of a branded impact to their project. Please contact tina@coastalcurrents.org.uk for details and costs.

______________

Curated Programme

If you a great concept you want us to consider as part of the curated programme for 2019, feel free to email info@coastalcurrents.org.uk with an outline of the project, likely cost, current stage of the project, location requirements and schedule. We would need these ideas by November 30 2018 for the 2019 Festival and November 30 2019 for the 2020 Festival.

We are happy to consider ideas however as budget and timescales are tight, we cannot get back to each of you individually.
