For this year’s Coastal Currents, Theresa Hodge and Penny Pepper share their creative practices with visitors at the fun official grand launch of SLICC – St Leonards Inclusive Crafty Creatives – in their fully accessible studio at the Clifton Centre.

Penny, award-winning writer and disabled activist, tells the untold story. A veteran at Hastings Literary Fest and far beyond, her Byline Times column Who Are the Disabled? features monthly. She will do a 15-minute reading & Q&A at 3pm on both days, and is happy to chat throughout. Her books will be available to buy. Theresa, crafter and disabled activist, brings passion for inclusion into her crafting practice, using different textured material to create products which are practical and enjoyable to hold and feel.

Demonstrating her evolving Cricut Digital Cutting machine skills, her range of handmade work includes scarves, cushions and gifts – available for sale. SLICC are inclusive and aim to meet the access needs of all disabled people.

Opening Hours: 10/11 September 12pm-4pm
