My paintings are about adults as children and children as adults and the complicated relationships between different personalities. I use my own experiences and reshuffle them to portray images that have emotional content. The paintings are not literal but I think the work conveys a sort of passive anxiety and hopefully conveys some of the frustrations of the human condition. Humor is often present in a lot of what I do. Humor is important to me; it’s much needed because life is ridiculous.
