John Coello
John has been a resident artist on West Street for six months and has lived in Hastings for 5 years. His artwork has been inspired by everyday views from many walks and journeys through the area. He works mainly in oil to produce traditional and abstract impressions of local landscapes and features, and has canvasses that depict Romney Marsh, Hastings Fishermen’s quarter, aerial views of the changing coastline, rocky beaches and dramatic clifftops from Hastings to Dungeness. John has had several highly successful exhibitions in galleries in Hastings, Brighton and London.
