Bodies In Urban Spaces
By Cie. Willi Dorner
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, 12noon and 4pm each day
At different times in the day, audiences will be led by a group of fast moving performers through the streets of Hastings on a human dance trail.
Bodies in Urban Spaces is an exceptional outdoor event by Austrian choreographer Willi Dorner, which uses human bodies to explore our relationship with the built environment. By cramming themselves into doorways, alcoves and just about any gap they can find, the performers offer different and often hilarious interpretations of urban architecture as well as extraordinary feats of strength and stamina.
This is a free outdoor promenade performance. The starting point for all performances is Priory Meadow Shopping Centre Square.
Duration: 60 minutes.
Idea, concept: Willi Dorner; choreographic assistance: Ian Dolan
